About Me

Donovan M. Harris is an Atlanta native based in Washington, D.C., with experience at the intersection of media, policy, and culture. He began his career as a television news reporter in Georgia and South Carolina, covering breaking news, politics, and the 2020 presidential election. That foundation in journalism taught him how to find the story, ask the right questions, and communicate under pressure—skills that have shaped everything that followed.

From the newsroom, Donovan moved into strategic communications, consulting for Fortune 500 companies, leading communications at Human Rights Watch in the US Program with a focus on democracy, criminal legal reform, immigration, and racial justice. He also serving as an appointee in the Biden Administration at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Whether crafting narratives for executives or designing digital campaigns for government agencies, his approach remains the same: clarity, authenticity, and impact. He believes great communication isn't just about being heard—it's about being understood.
